003 Scarborough Fair, starting point of my world music journey

1st western song I must write about, is Scarborough Fair. I think the 1st version I heard, was an instrumental version, with a Chinese title "斯卡堡小镇". My parents got a portable media player called "mp4" (as a next-generation product of an mp3 player). It must be a saan1-zaai6 version of ipod. The song either most likely came with the device, or less likely somehow was part of the songs our relatives downloaded for us. I cant remember the details now, but I think it was from the device.

It totally opened my perception, also my mother's. We enjoyed it so much. We would never forget its title. Years later, when we got on the internet, we found one of the more popular original versions by Simon & Garfunkel. Regardless which version, regardless with or without lyrics, it's the most beautiful song I first heard.

Ever since then, I've been fascinated by Scottish and Celtic styles of music, bagpipes, and folk songs.
